As part of its ongoing educational series, offered free to the public, the Art Dealers Association of California will present a panel discussion, THE ROLE OF THE ART CRITIC IN L.A., on Thursday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m. at Butterfields, 7601 Sunset Blvd., in Los Angeles (formerly Butterfield & Butterfield).

Critics Peter Frank and Michael Duncan and art historian Betty Ann Brown will comprise a panel moderated by Paul Karlstrom, West Coast Director of the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.

The discussion will offer a rare opportunity to publicly engage many issues and views related to art criticism today.
