The Association serves as a means of communication and information for art dealers in a wide range of areas. We sponsor ADAC art exhibitions, in addition to public lectures and panel discussions with experts from around the world. We have developed and monitor a code of ethics for dealing in fine art. We actively work to protect the public by fostering a climate conducive to the sale of authentic works of art, and discourage the resale of stolen material by alerting galleries to works of art that have been stolen. When appropriate, we become involved in federal and state legislation concerning significant art issues. Through liaison with museums throughout the country, we determine areas of mutal cooperation, allowing for the knowledge and experience of each group to be shared with the public.
